The unspeakable tragedy of suicide is assaulting military families. Returning soldiers and
veterans, unaware of the resources that exist for them, or afraid to share their nightmares with others, or unable to
get meaningful help, take their own lives as their pain becomes unbearable.
This is the story of just one such family. Please share this website with everyone you
know who is concerned about supporting our soldiers and saving those who return from this despicable war from the memories and
the PTSD that prey on their souls.
And if you can, please assist this family.
Reach out to soldiers and veterans in your community.
Demand that your senators and congressmen pay attention to this national nightmare.

WINTER SOLDIER II
SPEND SOME TIME WITH THE
WINTER SOLDIERS....................
If you haven't been here in a while, you may note that the look of our site has changed.
No more statue of liberty or red, white,
and blue flags blowing in the wind.
These have been replaced with a stone wall and a black background.
These better reflect my personal views
about our work for peace against the
seemingly impervious power
of a perverse president and our bought
and paid for complicit, cowardly
congress.
And this war is most
certainly political because in
our country POLITICS = $$$ and this war is all about $$$, HUGE $$$.
We the people have been
priced out of the market to effect change
from the grassroots.
Our media claims to be
fair and balanced but mostly they
are working to keep their advertisers.
Outrageously distorted "news"
is bought in toto by too many of our fellow citizens who don't care to look beyond the headlines.
Apathy is abundant.
And fear is marketed as patriotism.
The government wants and needs us to stay stupid and scared and
struggling in order to have their
way with us.
Our work is clear: stay informed, be fearless,
and wage peace relentlessly.
Webmother Beverley
Guess what? There's a way to stop this and all other
Bush terror. It's called the Power of the Purse, and it is endowed or denied by a majority of the Senate, and that majority
is now Democrat.
.
Of course I appreciate that everyone with the mentality
above that of a gnat knows this. But what many have not come to grips with -- buried in their habitual partisan persuasion
-- is that a political coward is as bad as a political snake, perhaps even worse since snakes often exhibit what cowards
lack: COURAGE.
.
I have not forgotten for a nanosecond that it was votes from
a majority Democrat Senate in 2002 that gave Bushido Banzai his license to commit atrocity upon the Iraqi people and to submit
4000 of our soldiers to slaughter, while his cronies grovel in a frenzy of greed.
.
And now, since regaining the majority of both houses of Congress
by virtue of our votes in 2006, the Democrats have once again trashed our trust by their obeisance to the world's most
feared despot by financing his every treacherous whim, abiding the eradication of the Bill of Rights, corrupting the voting
process, bugging our telephone conversations, opening our mail, abolishing the Rule of Law, and even -- by God!
-- to countenance torture.
.
Of course you, my intelligent friends, know just as much about
this as I do. We can agree that the Democrats have disgraced themselves and our trust. There may be a difference
between us, however, and that is that I WILL NOT FORGIVE them.
.

"A little patience, and we shall see the
reign of witches pass over, their spells dissolve, and the people, recovering their true sight, restore their government
to its true principles. It is true that
in the meantime we are suffering deeply
in spirit,
and incurring the horrors of a war
and long oppressions of enormous public debt.
If the game runs sometimes against us at
home
we must have patience till luck turns,
and then we shall have an opportunity of
winning back the principles we have lost,
for this
is a game where principles are at stake." Thomas Jefferson, shortly after the
passage of the
Sedition Act which passed July 14, 1798.
The Sedition Act suppressed editorial criticism of
the U.S. president and his administration.
Jefferson opposed the Act.
